Hi, I'm Ladson Poole

Owner | ISA Certified Arborist

After leaving a career in corporate sales, Ladson stumbled into arboriculture and quickly fell in love. This year is ArborWorks’ fifth year in business and we plan to continue to serve Mandeville, Covington and the surrounding area for years to come.

Ladson's Story

Ladson worked in corporate sales for the bulk of his career before venturing into arboriculture. Leaving the security of that position was tough, but necessary so that he could spend more time with his family as well as find his real passion. Unsure of where he would find that passion, he looked into a few different industries with little luck. A friend from church, knowing Ladson’s situation, suggested what was to be a temporary position with a local tree removal company. Ladson took that position and almost instantly fell in love. The climbing, felling trees, heavy machinery, tree biology, and being outside pulled him in — the more he learned, the more he liked.

Ladson started as an entry-level groundsman, soaking up as much knowledge as he possibly could. He quickly found a comprehensive climbing training program and spent the next year under the guidance of an experienced professional. He had found his passion.

Embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, he began ArborWorks in 2020. It was humble beginnings with modest resources – a small truck, a rental trailer, climbing equipment, and a chainsaw. His work ethic, customer service skills, and his burning desire to put out a superior product and educate his client base contributed to steady growth.

Over the years ArborWorks has continued to expand and now offers a full suite of professional arborist services, including – tree removal & trimming, tree healthcare services, risk mitigation, and arborist consultation services. Ladson has also not stopped learning, and through his commitment to constant improvement and growth has earned his ISA Certified Arborist credential and is currently working towards his TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) certification.

Ladson’s goal is to continue to grow and become one of the top arborist service companies in Southeast Louisiana. He strongly believes this will be accomplished through a commitment to superior workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Ladson is a family man with an extremely supportive and beautiful wife and two wonderful children. When he isn’t working on the business he is usually enjoying time with his family and friends, but even in his spare time you will find that he is always looking up at the trees.
A family of four sits on a blanket outdoors under large trees. The parents sit behind their two children, a baby and an older girl, all smiling at the camera in a natural, sunlit setting.

What our customers say

We bought our property 8 years ago and the biggest appeal was the beautiful live oaks. We wanted a certified arborist, not just a tree guy, and that’s how we found Ladson with ArborWorks. We really appreciated all the knowledge Ladson has about the trees. They’ve done several jobs and we definitely recommend them to everyone.

Rodriguez Residence

We are very happy with what ArborWorks did for us. We have live oaks that had been neglected for decades, so we did selective pruning instead of straight tree removal. Ladson gave us great tips on tree care and they also left zero footprint after removing hurricane-damaged pine trees. We would definitely recommend them to absolutely anybody.

Guinchard Residence

We had a tree fall down in our backyard after one of the storms. We were looking for a company that was certified and licensed and we found ArborWorks. From the start to the finish they were very professional and courteous. You could not tell that they had been in our backyard after they removed the tree – there were no ruts and everything looks wonderful.
